Tsaaro is seeking a Data Protection Consultant to lead engagements across privacy governance, compliance readiness, and risk management. You will design and oversee client privacy programs, assess controls, and guide regulatory compliance.

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll drive gap assessments, PIAs, DPIAs, and audits, advising on GDPR, CCPA, DPDP Act and global laws while contributing to policy development and ISMS implementation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data privacy, protection, or cybersecurity consulting.
• Familiar with privacy and compliance tools such as OneTrust and Securiti.ai.
• Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA and other global privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee privacy and data protection programs tailored to client needs.
• Evaluate clients’ privacy controls, identify gaps, and build actionable roadmaps.
• Lead privacy gap assessments, PIAs, RoPA, DPIAs, and audits across sectors.
• Provide guidance on GDPR, CCPA, DPDP Act, and emerging global laws.
• Develop and review privacy policies, training materials, and compliance docs.
• Drive implementation of ISO 27001, 27701, NIST and other frameworks.
• Support incident response planning, breach notification, and Data Subject Rights processes.
• Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and ISMS documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional client teams to deliver end-to-end privacy solutions.

Your Role: Data Protection Consultant

As a Senior Consultant, you will serve as a strategic advisor to our clients, leading engagements across privacy governance, compliance readiness, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and oversee privacy and data protection programstailored to client needs.

Evaluate clients’ privacy and security controls, identifying gaps and building actionable roadmaps.

Lead privacy gap assessments, PIAs, RoPA, DPIAs, and auditsacross diverse sectors.

Provide strategic guidance on regulations including GDPR, CCPA, DPDP Act, and emerging global laws.

Develop and review privacy policies, training materials, and compliance documentation.

Drive implementation of ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST, and other global frameworks.

Support incident response planning, breach notification, and Data Subject Rightsprocesses.

Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and ISMS documentationin alignment with certification requirements.

Conduct end-to-end third-party risk assessments

Collaborate with cross-functional client teams to deliver end-to-end privacy solutions.

Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives including GRC strategy, policy development, and audit readiness.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on experiencein data privacy, protection, or cybersecurity consulting.

Hands-on experience with privacy and compliance tools such as OneTrust, Securiti.ai, and similar platforms for data mapping, consent management, and assessments.

Strong understanding of global privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.

Solid grasp of ISO 27001, 27701, NIST, and related standards.

ISMS, PIMS, DPDPA, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, UK DPA, PIPEDA Compliance & Frameworks, Privacy Tools (e.g., Securiti.ai)

Experience in AI P rivacy Assessments, compliance projects, ISMS implementation, and client communication.

Certifications such asIAPP Certifications CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, ISO LA/LI (preferred).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, client-facing confidence, and analytical thinking.
