Job description

Position Summary:

This position is a client facing manager accountable for a small team to deliver a high volume of projects from the initial brief to completion, often against very tight deadlines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Primary focus

• Understand corporate guidelines and be able to brief a job clearly to the corresponding cell unit(s);
• Serves as key liaison between client and SGS;
• Take project briefs and follows procedures for costing and quoting;
• Works direct with client & printer collating required information to start the job;
• Promotes, services and exceeds customer expectations through vigilance and being pro-active to clients present and future needs;
• Brief off-site production cell;
• Track and maintain projects to ensure product launch timelines;
• Contribute technical knowledge in pre-production meetings;
• Manage projects from artwork design through to print;
• Liaison with printer on any print technical issue.

Supporting tasks

• Periodically contact printers getting the latest printer specification;
• Participate in the CAR investigation, if needed;
• Learn and use client appointed system to record all checks that have been done;
• Any ad hoc task as assigned by Lead Print Production Manager, Cell Manager or Site Management

Performance Management

• Ability to transfer clients requirement into a workable solution.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office is a must;
• Basic knowledge in Adobe suite is a must;
• Basic knowledge in Photoshop (CS6 or above) is a must;
• Proficient in mix end-user environments including PC and Macintosh is an advantage;
• Excellent sales skills;
• Able to type any Asian language(s) would be a definite advantage;
• Solid Print knowledge on different printing processes such as Flexo, Offset, Dry offset, Gravure, etc.
