Job summary

SimCorp in India is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (C#.NET with Azure) to design, develop, and test complex systems for client data and trades within a growing FinTech environment. You will join a self-organized scrum team and collaborate with colleagues in Europe to deliver scalable, reliable software.

The role emphasizes Azure expertise, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and strong C# and Angular skills, paired with testing, XP practices, and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• 10+ years of experience with C# and Angular.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructures and API-driven systems.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test solutions for new product capabilities.
• Create and implement test strategy ensuring high product quality.
• Collaborate with Teams, Product Owners, and Architects on architecture/roadmap & guidelines.
• Create and analyze functional and non-functional requirements during feature refinements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

You will be a member of a self-organized scrum team consisting of software engineers, who collaborate closely with business experts. The team is responsible for developing and supporting a set of enterprise products within the Collateral Product Area. You are expected to interact with colleagues from Ukraine, Poland, Denmark, Austria, and Germany. After a comprehensive onboarding program, we expect you to:

• Design, develop, and test solutions for a new product capabilities.
• Create and implement test strategy to ensure high quality of the product.
• Closely communicate and collaborate with Teams, Product Owners, and Architects follow and ensure architecture/technical roadmap & guidelines.
• Create and analyze functional and non-functional requirements during feature refinements.
• Ensure outstanding product support and proactively minimize it.
• Initiate technical and process enhancements in the team.
• Initiate and drive improvement of automation, tools, frameworks, etc.
• Work as a full stack developer, both front-end and back-end (SOA).
• Initiate and drive improvement of automation, tools, frameworks, etc.

WHAT WE VALUE

• Extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps, with the ability to develop and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Rich experience with Cloud Infrastructures.
• Extensive knowledge and experience (10+ years) in C# and Angular.
• Proficient in both manual and automated testing, with the ability to design and implement comprehensive test strategies and all level tests for software applications (E2E, API, UT).
• Understanding and adherence to XP practices (TDD, pair-programming etc.)
• Readiness to learn APL.
• M.Sc. in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar field (will be a plus).
• Curiosity and readiness to learn and improve in-house tools and frameworks
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL).
• Ability to mentor, motivate, and guide a team toward technical excellence and efficient delivery.
• Good English skills (upper intermediate and higher), written as well as spoken.

AI-Enabled Development

• Use AI tools (Copilot, Claude, and others) fluently as part of your everyday working routines.
• Critically evaluate AI-generated artifacts — verify correctness and architectural fit before accepting.
• Guide your team on responsible AI usage: when to trust it, when to override it, and how to review it carefully.
• Identify where AI can accelerate prototyping cycles and reduce low-value work in the team.
