Job summary

Skillz, the first publicly-traded mobile eSports platform, is seeking a senior software engineer in Bengaluru to build and scale core services. With 12+ years in Go and/or Java, you will own distributed systems, work across cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), and contribute to gaming-focused services.

You will join a team of alumni from top tech companies, enjoy a culture of impact, and collaborate across multi‑discipline groups.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional work experience in Go and/or Java.
• Proficient with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container technologies.
• Experience in the Gaming Industry or passion for building services for games.
• Strong experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, caching mechanisms, and relational databases.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technical field.
• Able to work in-office 3 days a week in Bangalore, India.

Experience:

• 12+ years of professional work experience in Golang (GO) and/or Java

• Proficient in working with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes or similar container technologies.

• Experience in the Gaming Industry (ideally). Alternatively, passion for building services for games.

• Strong experience with distributed, multi‑tiered systems, caching mechanisms, and relational databases.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a technical field of study, or equivalent industry experience

• Able to work in‑office 3 days a week in Bangalore, India
