Job summary

SonicWall is seeking a Senior Client Software Engineer to join our cross‑platform team and develop cloud‑managed endpoint security applications for Android, iOS, and desktop platforms. You will work across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS in a truly diverse development environment.

You will design, develop, and maintain client applications, write clean code in C/C++, Kotlin, Java, Swift, and Objective‑C, and collaborate with designers, QA, and product managers to deliver high‑quality

Qualifications

• 10+ years of client-side software development across Android and iOS.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++.
• Experience with JNI bridge and native engine.
• Knowledge of TLS/SSL, networking fundamentals.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain, and releaseclient applications forAndroidand iOS,with occasionaldesktopapp development.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across multiple languages, including C/C++,Kotlin, Java, Swift, and Objective-C.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, QA, and product managers, to deliver seamless and responsive user experiences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of client applications across platforms.
• Participate incode reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to engineering best practices.

Qualifications:

• Solid computer science fundamentals in areas such as data structures, algorithms, memory management,cryptography, networking,and system programming.
• 10+ years of experience in client-side software development with a deep understanding of one or multiple mobile OS platforms, including Android and iOS.
• Experience withJNI bridge connecting the app layer to the native engine
• Strong proficiency inC/C++
• Strong working experience with one or multiple mobile platforms
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TLS/SSL, tunneling protocols (PPP, ESP,WireGuard), DNS, proxies.
• Knowledgeof Vueor other frontend frameworks for UI development.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills across multiple languages and environments.
• Experience with Android NDK or Apple's Network Extension / SystemExtension frameworks is a strong plus
• Comfort reading and modifying build systems (Gradle, Make, Xcodeproject files, Fastlane)
• Skills indesktopdevelopment (Windows/macOS/Linux) are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistance.
