Job summary

SonicWall in Pune, India is seeking a Senior Client Software Engineer to design and build cloud-managed endpoint security apps for Android, iOS and desktop platforms. You’ll work across languages including C/C++, Kotlin, Java, Swift and Objective-C in a cross‑platform team.

Collaborating with designers, QA and product managers, you will troubleshoot complex issues, participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices while advancing security solutions in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and memory management.
• 10+ years of client-side mobile software development experience on Android/iOS.
• Experience with JNI bridge connecting app layer to native engine.
• Proficient in C/C++ with exposure to multiple mobile platforms.
• Solid networking knowledge: TLS/SSL, tunneling, DNS, proxies.
• Familiarity with Vue or similar frontend frameworks for UI development.
• Experience with Android NDK or Apple's Network Extension / System Extension is a plus.
• Experience with Gradle, Make, and Xcode project files; Fastlane familiarity.
• Desktop development experience (Windows/macOS/Linux) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistance.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain, and release client applications for Android and iOS, with occasional desktop app development.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across multiple languages, including C/C++, Kotlin, Java, Swift, and Objective-C.

Qualifications:

• Solid computer science fundamentals in areas such as data structures, algorithms, memory management, cryptography, networking, and system programming.
• 10+ years of experience in client-side software development with a deep understanding of one or multiple mobile OS platforms, including Android and iOS.
• Experience with JNI bridge connecting the app layer to the native engine
• Strong proficiency in C/C++
• Strong working experience with one or multiple mobile platforms
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TLS/SSL, tunneling protocols (PPP, ESP, WireGuard), DNS, proxies.
• Knowledge of Vue or other frontend frameworks for UI development.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills across multiple languages and environments.
• Experience with Android NDK or Apple's Network Extension / System Extension frameworks is a strong plus
• Comfort reading and modifying build systems (Gradle, Make, Xcode project files, Fastlane)
• Skills in desktop development (Windows/macOS/Linux) are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistance.
