Job summary

SonicWall in Maharashtra is seeking a Senior Client Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cross‑platform client applications for Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. You will write high‑quality code in C/C++, Golang, and Swift while collaborating with designers, QA, and product managers to deliver secure, reliable endpoints.

The role involves deep work on Windows kernel drivers, macOS extensions, and security frameworks, with opportunities to influence architecture and engineering

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, memory management, cryptography, networking and system programming.
• 10+ years of client-side software development across Windows, macOS and Linux.
• Deep expertise in C/C++ for systems-level programming and Windows internals.
• Experience with macOS kernel extension or System Extension and Swift/Objective-C.
• Knowledge of TLS/SSL, networking and security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and release client applications for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Role and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and releaseclient applications for Windows,macOS,andLinux, with occasional mobile app development.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across multiple languages, including C/C++, Golang, and Swift.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, QA, and product managers, to deliver seamless and responsive user experiences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of client applications across platforms.
• Participate incode reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Solid computer science fundamentals in areas such as data structures, algorithms, memory management,cryptography, networking,and system programming.
• 10+ years of experience in client-side software development with a deep understanding of one or multiple desktop OS platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Strong proficiency inC/C++with deep expertise in systems-level programming, including kernel-mode development.Deep understanding of Windows C++ (MFC, ATL, COM/DCOM, Win32 API)
• Working knowledge of Golangand its concurrency
• Experience withWindows kernel and driver development, including WDM/WDF, kernel-mode programming, and Windows internals.
• Experience developingWindows Servicesandanunderstanding of Windows security architecture and privilege levels.
• Experience withmacOS kernel extension or System Extension development, and familiarity with macOS internals.
• Hands-on experience withmacOS security frameworks, particularly the Endpoint Security Framework (ESF), for system event monitoring and security policy enforcement.
• Experience withSwiftand/orObjective-Cfor macOS or iOS development.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TLS/SSL, tunneling protocols (PPP, ESP,WireGuard), DNS, proxies.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills across multiple languages and environments.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and agile development environment.
• Skills in mobile development (iOS/Android) are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistance
