Neuraleap Group is seeking a Principal / Senior Investment Professional to join our Bengaluru-based DeepTech venture capital platform. This senior role emphasizes independent sourcing, rigorous evaluation, negotiation and ownership across the investment lifecycle.

The successful candidate will combine engineering strengths with hands-on venture investing, building founder relationships, leading transactions and guiding portfolio companies toward strategic growth and exits.

Qualifications

Hiring: Principal / Senior Investment Professional – DeepTech Venture Capital

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka (Work from Office)

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced venture capital investment professional to join a leading investment platform focused on high-potential DeepTech and technology-driven businesses.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical or engineering foundation, proven experience in direct buy-side venture investing, and the ability to independently source, evaluate, negotiate and close investment opportunities. This is a senior role requiring sound investment judgment, strong founder relationships and hands‑on ownership throughout the investment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently source and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities across DeepTech and technology-led sectors.
• Lead end-to-end investment transactions, including deal origination, technical and commercial due diligence, financial modelling, valuation, investment committee presentations, negotiations, structuring and closure.
• Assess technology differentiation, product feasibility, intellectual property, scalability, competitive positioning and commercial potential.
• Develop investment theses and identify proprietary deal‑flow opportunities through founder networks, industry relationships and the broader startup ecosystem.
• Build strong relationships with founders, co-investors, institutional investors, family offices and other ecosystem stakeholders.
• Support portfolio companies on strategic growth, fundraising, business development and value creation.
• Develop and execute portfolio exit strategies, including strategic sales, secondary transactions and other liquidity opportunities.
• Track emerging technology trends and identify attractive investment opportunities across high-growth DeepTech sectors.

Required Qualifications And Experience

• Engineering or a strong technical/scientific educational background.
• Significant experience in direct buy-side venture capital investing, particularly in DeepTech or technology-led startups.
• Demonstrated ability to independently source investment opportunities and lead transactions from origination through closure.
• Strong practical understanding of technical and commercial due diligence, startup business models, valuation and investment structuring.
• Experience presenting investment cases to investment committees and negotiating with founders and co‑investors.
• Strong understanding of startup growth cycles, portfolio management and exit planning.
• Established relationships within the startup, DeepTech and investment ecosystem.
• Senior-level judgment, communication skills and the ability to operate independently.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates who have progressed beyond investment execution support into independent investment ownership, with a strong track record of sourcing, closing and managing DeepTech investments, will be preferred.

Important:

This is a principal-level buy-side investment role. Candidates whose experience is predominantly investment banking, M&A advisory, fundraising advisory or transaction support, without substantial direct venture investing experience, will not be suitable.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

• Compensation: Up to ₹50 LPA, depending on experience and fit.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka.
• Work Mode: Full-time, on-site.
