We're looking for a Principal SDET Engineer to join our Development team in Noida.

As a Principal SDET, you will play a pivotal role in elevating quality engineering across our Web, API, and Mobile products. You will serve as a technical authority within our engineering organization, driving quality strategy, automation excellence, and engineering best practices. This is a principal‑level individual contributor role that combines hands‑on technical expertise with leadership through influence, mentorship, and collaboration.

You will partner closely with developers, product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ensure quality is built into every stage of the software development lifecycle. Success in this role means enabling teams to deliver reliable, scalable, high‑performing products that consistently earn customer trust.

What You'll Do
Drive Quality Engineering Strategy
  • Own and drive the end‑to‑end test automation strategy across Web, API, and Mobile platforms.
  • Establish and champion a clear quality vision across products and engineering teams.
  • Proactively identify functional risks, integration gaps, performance bottlenecks, and automation coverage gaps.
Design & Build Scalable Automation Frameworks
  • Design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright and modern automation practices.
  • Establish automation standards for test architecture, reusability, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Define best practices for test design patterns, data management, environment readiness, and execution strategies.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive automation suites covering Web, API, and Mobile applications.
  • Implement API contract, integration, and end‑to‑end testing strategies.
  • Develop mobile automation solutions using Appium across real devices and emulators/simulators.
Performance & Reliability Engineering
  • Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability testing using tools such as k6 and JMeter.
  • Analyze performance trends and identify system bottlenecks before they impact customers.
  • Ensure applications meet reliability, scalability, and availability standards.
CI/CD & Release Quality
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • Define and maintain quality gates, deployment validation processes, and release readiness criteria.
  • Build automated reporting mechanisms that provide actionable quality insights.
Lead Through Influence & Mentorship
  • Champion a shift‑left quality culture across engineering teams.
  • Mentor developers and engineers on testing principles, testability, automation best practices, and observability.
  • Influence product and technical design decisions by advocating for quality, reliability, and scalability from the earliest stages of development.
Drive AI‑Powered Testing Innovation
  • Evaluate and adopt AI‑assisted testing tools and workflows.
  • Leverage AI to accelerate test creation, maintenance, failure analysis, and automation coverage.
  • Drive innovation initiatives that improve testing efficiency and product quality.
Quality Metrics & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and monitor quality KPIs including coverage, defect escape rates, flakiness, pipeline reliability, and release quality.
  • Use data‑driven insights to continuously improve testing effectiveness and engineering processes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve product quality and delivery speed.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's (B.E./B.Tech.) or Master's (MCA) degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Skill Sets / Experience We Require
  • 8–11 years of experience in QA Automation, SDET, or Quality Engineering roles.
  • Proven experience as a senior or principal‑level individual contributor driving automation and quality strategy.
  • Deep hands‑on expertise with Playwright as a primary automation framework.
  • Extensive experience in Web, API, and Mobile automation testing.
  • Strong experience designing and building scalable automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Mobile automation expertise using Appium across real devices and emulators/simulators.
  • Hands‑on experience with performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD implementation using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • Experience working with Docker, containerized environments, and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience leveraging AI‑driven testing tools and automation solutions.
  • Strong understanding of test architecture, parallel execution, reporting, quality gates, and automation scalability.
  • Exceptional debugging, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Strong systems‑thinking mindset with the ability to identify quality, performance, and reliability risks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments and cross‑functional teams.
Good to Have
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud‑native testing environments.
  • Knowledge of security testing tools and best practices.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring platforms.
  • Familiarity with contract testing and service virtualization.
