Job summary

Cognite is a leader in industrial digitalization, building AI-powered data solutions including Cognite Data Fusion®. We seek a Principal Product Manager to define vision, build, and lead end-to-end product development across industries such as Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Power & Utility.

You’ll work in an English-speaking environment with autonomous teams, mentor junior colleagues, and drive product delivery across global stakeholders to unlock significant customer value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SaaS product management experience, preferably in industrial OT/IT.
• Strong user-centric approach and track record of successful AI-enabled product launches.
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues and leading cross‑functional/global teams.
• Ability to define product strategy, roadmaps, and requirements across complex platforms.
• Excellent communication with executives, engineers, data scientists and GTM teams.

The Impact you bring to Cognite

As a Principal Product Manager, you'll be a key player in setting product direction, building the product, and owning its success across Cognite’s industrial customers. You'll have the opportunity to:

• Define product strategy and roadmap for the future of Cognite Data Fusion, focused on improved usability, accelerated time to value, and integration of new AI technologies.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Work closely with our skilled users to understand their needs and build products that help them succeed.
• Partner with GTM and customer teams to enable them on offerings and ensure successful product launches.

We're seeking a proactive product leader who is passionate about user value, user satisfaction, and shaping robust, end-to-end solutions for their industrial data challenges.

• You love making users happy and are committed to creating products they truly want to use.
• You have a user-centric mindset: A genuine passion for understanding user needs and designing intuitive, easy-to-use solutions for complex technical problems.
• You have experience managing feature delivery and tradeoffs for a complex product area.
• You excel at communicating with different types of stakeholders, ranging from customer senior executives to technical engineers and data scientists.
• You articulate clear and well-structured product requirement documentation that sets the direction for engineering and design.
• You have a track record of successful product launches involving AI technologies.
• You're comfortable learning about new developments within the AI space, and use these tools actively yourself for working efficiently.
• You're accustomed to working in an English-speaking environment.
• You have experience mentoring junior colleagues and leading complex product development projects across global teams.
• You have leadership potential: While initially an individual contributor, you should have the ambition and capability to grow into a leadership role, potentially building and leading a team of product managers in India.
• You have 10+ years of experience in SaaS product management roles, ideally within the industrial OT and IT space, with a strong understanding of how industrial data is collected, stored, and utilized.
• We’re globally recognized domain experts with an international presence that spans Phoenix, Houston, Oslo Tokyo, Bengaluru, and Abu Dhabi.
