Job summary

Cognite is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex Industrial AI implementation projects, partnering with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable value. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and governance to ensure successful deployment and value realisation across asset-intensive industries.

The role requires 5+ years of delivering software/enterprise projects, strong stakeholder management, and fluency with cloud platforms and APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience delivering complex software, SaaS, cloud, or enterprise technology implementation projects.
• Experience managing enterprise or industrial digital transformation programmes involving multiple stakeholders and technical workstreams.
• Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, data architecture, and enterprise systems.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting, revenue recognition, margin management, and project profitability.
• Experience within one or more industrial sectors, including Energy, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Utilities, Power & Renewables, or Life Sciences.
• Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and project governance frameworks such as Scrum, PMP, or PRINCE2.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently across technical teams, customers, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from kickoff through deployment, adoption, and value realisation.
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, quality, customer outcomes, and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Product teams, and Customer Success to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Translate customer objectives into measurable success metrics and facilitate Value Realisation Workshops to demonstrate business impact.
• Manage project financials, including forecasting, revenue recognition, profitability, cost management, and reporting.
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, leading steering committees, and providing clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes while ensuring governance and transparency.
• Support customer adoption through change management, enablement, and training while recognising opportunities to expand customer value.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices by applying Cognite’s PMO methodologies, playbooks, and lessons learned.

The Impact you bring to Cognite

As the Project Manager, you’ll be accountable for the successful delivery of complex Industrial AI implementation projects by:
