POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is responsible for the design, development, qualification, and release of new Power MOSFET products. This role will be carried out either as a leader or member of a cross functional team, or as an individual, ensuring that new products are released to customer / market requirements and to appropriate quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead project teams on activities towards the release of new product families, complex products or technology platforms to timelines defined within project plans.
• Ensure that new product releases meet manufacturability, reliability, customer and market requirements in collaboration with product marketing, process development, assembly and industrial functions.
• Assist the Product groups by providing technical support with respect to specification and justification of new product developments, answering specific customer technical enquiries and complaints.
• Provide project management and/or technical expertise for the team as consultant across one or many project(s).
• Develop appropriate levels of knowledge in associated areas of product development work, namely the product release process, systems, project management, product specification, simulation and design.

SKILLS /COMPETENCIES

• Hard Skills: Expert understanding of: electrical operation of Power MOSFETs, Power MOSFET device structure fab processes, packaging flow design process for new products, reliability methods, and Failure Modes Design of Experiments; Device simulation tools; Data analysis and production of clear technical reports.
• Soft Skills: Planning, organising and controlling projects adhering to plans and budgets, as well as reporting on progress; Leadership, and role model example to more junior engineers; Collaboration with others, either in immediate team or outside R&D; Clear communication of progress; Time-planning and multi-tasking; Customer communications, where necessary; Mentoring of junior engineers; Flexible and proactive approach; Considered experienced enough in their field to handle non-standard situations.
