Job summary

Stantec in Pune is seeking a Principal Highway Design Engineer to join our growing team. You will collaborate with highway engineers and senior staff to deliver successful projects and ensure quality results on time and within budget.

You will lead design and drafting activities, mentor staff, manage budgets, review calculations and drawings, and coordinate multi-project workloads while maintaining strong client communications.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review design solutions from outline briefs, correctly interpret data and effectively communicate to others.
• Manage the design and drafting team(s) allocated on projects.
• Training and mentoring staff, proposal preparation, project presentation, project management and budget management.
• Check design and assessment calculations and review detailed drawings.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
• Ensure delivery of project in accordance with quality, timescales, and budget.
• Produce and reviews designs, drawings and budgets to ensure that technical designs will provide appropriate solution and budgets will be met.
• Plan, program, co-ordinate project teams and tasks.
• Exercise quality control of team deliverables.
• Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required.
• Maintain records of all reports/drawings/documents.
