Stantec in Pune invites a Senior Highway Designer to join our growing team and help deliver major road projects. You will support highway engineers and senior staff, producing precise drawings and coordinating with disciplines across projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Civil Draughtsman; B.E/B.Tech a plus.
• Minimum 12 years’ professional experience in road/highway drafting.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation; Civil3D/OpenRoads/12D is a plus.
• Good knowledge of CAD standards and delivery procedures.
• Ability to take directions from senior engineers and execute them efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication and client service skills.
• Travel and other job demands.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings for road/highway projects, interpret data and communicate clearly.
• Prepare Layout Plans, General Arrangement, Grading Plans, Plan & Profile drawings, cross sections, drainage drawings and related layouts.
• Ensure delivery of project deliverables within quality, timescales and budget.
• Check drafting work of junior draftsmen and CAD technicians.
• Plan, program and coordinate for allocated projects.
• Maintain communication with clients and develop ongoing contacts as required.
• Coordinate drawing production with all project disciplines internal and external.
• Understand design development and maintain drawing files throughout contracts.
• Travel and other job demands.

Stantec is looking for a Senior Highway Designer that can be a part of our growing team in Pune office. Your Key Responsibilities

• Produce drawings for road/highway projects, correctly interpret data and effectively communicate to others.
• Preparation of Layout Plans, General Arrangement Drawings, Grading Plans, Plan & Profile Drawings, Cross Sections, Drainage Drawings, pipe network drawings, civil layouts, signage, and line marking plans, junction drawings, signal drawings, set out plans and all drawings required for the successful delivery of a road/highway project.
• Ensure delivery of project deliverables in accordance with quality, timescales, and budget.
• Check drafting work of Junior draftsmen and CAD technicians.
• Plan, program, and co-ordinate for allocated projects.
• Maintain communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required.
• Maintain records of all design drawings/documents.
• Coordinate drawing production with all other project disciplines both internal and external to Stantec.
• Understand design development.
• Maintain drawing files and records throughout the duration of contracts.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Civil Draughtsman. B.E/B.Tech degree a plus.
• Minimum 12 years’ professional experience in road/highway drafting after training.
• Proficient in tools such as AutoCAD and Micro Station. Civil3D and/or OpenRoads and/or Inroads and/or12D experience is a plus.
• Good knowledge of CAD standards and delivery procedures.
• Ability to take directions from senior engineers and execute them efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
• Effective communicator and able to work under tight schedule
• Competent level of client service management, i.e.: able to interface with clients and to build and maintain lasting, positive relationships with our clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialists.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Civil Draughtsman. B.E/B.Tech degree a plus.
• Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in the consulting and engineering industry after training. MicroStation drafting experience on international roadway projects is a must.
• Experience on international projects is a plus.
• Software Skills:
• a. AutoCAD and MicroStation. Knowledge of InRoads and/or Open Roads and/or Civil 3D and/or 12D is a plus.
• b. Knowledge of International CAD/BIM standards is a plus.
