Workday, Inc. in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned HCM Functional Consultant to drive successful Workday HCM implementations for customers, combining product expertise with strong project delivery.

You will capture requirements, configure, migrate data, and test across lifecycle, partnering with customers and your project team in a flexible, hybrid work model.

The role requires 10+ years of functional experience and prior consulting exposure; Bachelor's degree and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of functional experience in HCM or related software solutions.
• Experience as a Solution Architect in end-to-end implementations.
• Previous consulting experience with ERP applications (Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience in at least 4 full cycle client implementations.

About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking, innovative, and collaborative HCM Functional Consultant to join our team. In this role you will ensure the successful implementation of the Workday HCM solution with customers through product and implementation expertise. The ideal candidate for this position should have extensive experience implementing or supporting HCM systems, requirements capturing, configuration, data conversion and testing. You should be detail oriented, self‑motivated, proactive, results‑oriented and able to successfully partner with customers and your project team. Be ready to be challenged and have fun!

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of functional experience in any of HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Performance Management, Time & Absence software solutions or systems
• Should have worked as Solution Architect in an end-to-end implementation.
• Previous consulting experience preferred either as an internal consultant or with a consulting / software organization in another ERP application (e.g. Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Ultimate Software, ADP, Ceridian or similar application).
• Should have experience in at‑least 4 full cycle client implementations.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing and supporting HCM solutions

• Creation and execution of lifecycle test scenarios for all testing cycles in scope through partnership with the Test Lead Ensure optimal test coverage and test execution, enabling a smooth and timely transition to production.
• Mentor and share product knowledge with other consultants.
• Help deliver successful project outcomes and lasting customer relationships.
