Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in model-based development and embedded systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Model Based Development using MATLAB and Simulink for embedded control systems.
  • Experience building models for electromechanical medical devices and integrating them with embedded software implementations.
  • Ability to define scalable modeling standards, traceability practices, and code generation workflows for regulated products.
  • Experience with design controls, risk assessment, and compliance-driven development for medical device software.

Responsibilities

  • Define and govern the model-based development framework for MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, and Embedded Coder.
  • Develop system-level plant and controller models for electromechanical subsystems including motors, actuators, sensors, safety interlocks, calibration, and diagnostics.
  • Translate system requirements into executable models and maintain end-to-end traceability across requirements, tests, and generated code.
  • Lead technical risk assessment activities and ensure mitigations are implemented and verified within the model and embedded implementation.
  • Drive model verification strategy across MIL, SIL, PIL, and HIL environments and establish acceptance criteria for model and code readiness.
