Job summary

Extreme Networks India Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Principal Engineer for Routing Protocol Development (Multicast/Unicast). You will contribute across the product life cycle, implement L2/L3 protocols, and work with microservices using Docker/Kubernetes and Helm.

Strong C or Go skills and Linux knowledge are required. You'll work in an agile environment with CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, and network management protocols like NETCONF/GNMI/GRPC.

Qualifications

• Exposure to the entire Product Life Cycle.
• Proficiency in L2/L3 OSI layer Protocols - LACP, LAGs, BGP, BFD, EVPN, MPLS/VPLS, ARP, and L2/L3 Routing.
• Micro services-based architecture with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts.
• Strong coding and debugging experience using C or Golang.
• Linux OS, data structures, IPC mechanisms; understanding of multi-threading/routines.
• Agile development with CI/CD, Jenkins, Git.
• Knowledge of OpenConfig NETCONF/GNMI/GRPC.
• Good written/verbal communication skills.

Principal Engineer - 10368 | Routing Protocol Development (Multicast/Unicast) Job Description

• Exposure to the entire Product Life Cycle .
• Proficiency in L2/L3 OSI layer Protocols - LACP ; LAGs; BGP ; BFD; EVPN; MPLS/VPLS; ARP; and L2 switching; L3 Routing.
• Micro services-based Architecture, working experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes (K8s, K3s) cluster, Helm charts
• Strong coding and debugging experience using C OR Golang
• Linux OS, Data structures, IPC mechanisms. Understanding of multi-threading/routines.
• Agile Development Model with CI/CD, Jenkins pipeline and working knowledge of Git environment.
• Working knowledge of OpenConfig NETCONF/GNMI/GRPC
• Good Written/Verbal Communication Skills

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent in CS/EEE/ECE with at least 13 -20+ years of relevant experience
