Job summary

NVIDIA Cumulus Linux is seeking a highly motivated software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain routing and control plane functionality. You will work on EVPN, BGP, OSPF, PIM and related protocols, contributing to a flexible open network operating system with modern tooling and open-source collaboration.

You should have a BS/MS in CS/CE and 4+ years in software development with strong C programming, the ability to own tasks end-to-end, and to mentor colleagues.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of software development experience that spans multiple routing protocols including EVPN, BGP, PIM, OSPF, RIFT, or MPLS/SR.
• Strong and proven experience in C programming.
• Lead feature development, take full ownership of tasks from A-Z, and deliver independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to drive end-to-end design and development and provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Developing routing and network virtualization functionality in protocols and technologies like BGP, EVPN, OSPF, PIM and Segment Routing.

We work predominantly with and contribute significantly to Free Range Routing, the preeminent open routing suite in the industry. You will be using the latest software development tools and techniques, and will gain unique knowledge of how the switch operating system works and how large scale networks are constructed.

What we need to see:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
