Job summary

NVIDIA Cumulus Linux is seeking a highly motivated software engineer in Bengaluru to contribute to routing and control plane software. You will work with EVPN/OSPF/BGP, develop APIs for the routing subsystem, and help shape the deployment of open networking technologies.

You will collaborate across teams, mentor others, and own features end-to-end from design to release, ensuring robust performance in large-scale data center networks.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent).
• 4+ years of software development experience across routing protocols EVPN, BGP, PIM, OSPF, RIFT, or MPLS/SR.
• Strong experience in C programming.
• Lead feature development with ownership from A to Z.
• Ability to drive end-to-end design and mentor other engineers.

NVIDIA Cumulus Linux is the industry's most innovative open network operating system built with a flexible open architecture and comprehensive automation capabilities! We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer with experience in routing and control plane software. We are a small team that prides itself on innovation and agility. We work predominantly with and contribute significantly to Free Range Routing, the preeminent open routing suite in the industry. You will be using the latest software development tools and techniques, and will gain unique knowledge of how the switch operating system works and how large scale networks are constructed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, testing and maintaining new functionality and improvements in different routing protocols and related control plane software. This will also include programmatic interfaces and APIs to the routing control subsystem.
• Developing routing and network virtualization functionality in protocols and technologies like BGP, EVPN, OSPF, PIM and Segment Routing.
• Collaborating with team members, architects and QA and Support teams on feature definition, development, release, and bug fixing.

What We Need To See

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of software development experience that spans multiple routing protocols including EVPN, BGP, PIM, OSPF, RIFT, or MPLS/SR.
• Strong and proven experience in C programming.
• Strong technical abilities, problem-solving, design, coding, and debugging skills.
• Lead feature development, take full ownership of tasks from A-Z, and deliver independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to drive end-to-end design and development and provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers.
