The Principal Engineer - Inspection (E&I) will lead the inspection activities for electrical and instrumentation projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality assurance protocols. The engineer will provide technical expertise and oversight throughout project phases, from conception to execution.
The inspection team is composed of highly skilled engineers and inspectors dedicated to upholding quality and safety standards. The team collaborates closely with project managers, construction crews, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. A strong emphasis is placed on knowledge sharing and continuous professional development within the team.
Overseeing the inspection and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure compliance with specifications. Developing inspection procedures and guidelines to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to address any issues impacting project progress. Reviewing and approving inspection and test plans, while also providing mentorship to junior engineers and inspectors.
A degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering, along with several years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry. Strong knowledge of inspection standards and practices, including IEC, IEEE, and API guidelines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Effective communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of working in a team-oriented environment.
