Job summary

Ixigo, a technology company empowering Indian travellers, seeks a Lead UI developer to drive design, planning, development, and deployment of features for our multi-platform travel products. You will collaborate with Tech, Design and Quality teams to build scalable frontend solutions.

You will own modules end-to-end, implement front-end architectures, and continuously explore new JS frameworks and tools to maximize development efficiency.

Qualifications

BE/BTech from premier engineering colleges (IITs/NITs/IIIT/DCE - CSE).
Experience with internet companies or travel industry is a plus.
Knowledge of UI design systems and modern JS ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Code, develop and architect features for the existing application.
Own modules end to end and ensure quality of work.
Design and maintain scalable, multi-tier frontend/server interactions.
Collaborate with developers, product managers and designers to plan and release.
Stay updated on new JS frameworks and tooling.

We assist travellers in making smarter travel decisions by leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science-led innovations on our OTA platforms, comprising our websites and mobile applications.

Our OTA platforms allow travellers to book train tickets, flight tickets, bus tickets, hotels and cabs, while providing travel utility tools and services developed using in-house proprietary algorithms and crowd-sourced information, including train PNR status and confirmation predictions, train seat availability alerts, train running status updates and delay predictions, flight status updates, bus running status, pricing and availability alerts, deal discovery, destination content, personalized recommendations, instant fare alerts and automated customer support services.

Job Description:

As a Lead UI developer, you will be involved in all aspects of development, playing a critical role in the design, planning, development, and deployment and help develop best practices for future development. You will be working closely with the Tech, Design and Quality teams to build and launch the product.

Role & Responsibility :

Code, develop, design and architect features related to the existing application. We expect you to own modules end to end and take pride in the work products you ship

Design, implement and maintain highly scalable, multi-tier, distributed server software applications

Deliver across the entire app life cycle: design, build, deploy, test, release and support

Work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualise, build, test and release products

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency

Develop workflow/solution which gets reused across line of business.

Must have :

JS design patterns and concepts of OOPS and functional programming in JS

Practical working knowledge of front-end build tools like Vite, Webpack or Rspack, etc.

Eye for details & experience with design system

Sense for appeal & aesthetics from a usability perspective

Some UI portfolio or samples will be required
