Job summary

Lexitas India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer (DevOps) to lead enterprise-scale cloud solutions on AWS. You will drive IaC with Terraform, design CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teams for DevOps transformation across products and services.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in DevOps and Cloud Architecture roles.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer (DevOps) with 15+ years of IT experience to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale DevOps and Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS Cloud, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, containerization, and cloud-native architecture. This role will be responsible for driving DevOps transformation, establishing best practices, and ensuring scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms.

Essential Functions:

• Design and implement enterprise-wide DevOps architecture and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Define and drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies using Terraform.
• Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Establish DevSecOps practices, security controls, and compliance standards across platforms.
• Design high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance strategies.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to streamline software delivery.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for proactive issue management.
• Define governance, standards, and best practices for DevOps and cloud operations.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership for DevOps transformation programs.
• Evaluate emerging cloud and DevOps technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

Competencies, Skills and Abilities:

15+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in DevOps and Cloud Architecture roles.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Experience in enterprise-scale cloud transformation and modernization programs.

• Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Hands-on experience with: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, CloudWatch, Route 53, API Gateway, AWS Security Services

Infrastructure as Code

• Expert-level experience in Terraform
• Module development and reusable infrastructure frameworks
• State management and environment orchestration

CI/CD & Automation

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using:
• Build and deployment automation practices

Containerization & Orchestration

Monitoring & Observability

Scripting & Programming

• Python, Shell Scripting, PowerShell (preferred)

Security & Compliance

• DevSecOps implementation, Security automation, Vulnerability management
• IAM governance, Compliance frameworks and audit readiness

AI Enablement

• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-assisted development and operations tools to improve software delivery, operational efficiency, system reliability, and engineering productivity.
• Ability to evaluate, implement, and govern AI-enabled DevOps capabilities across the software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring and incident management.

Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures.

Experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.

Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
