DevOps Architect / Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Location: Pune, India (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our cloud and infrastructure ecosystem. This is a strategic, hands-on architecture role responsible for building scalable, secure, and highly available platforms that support enterprise applications, data pipelines, and AI/ML workloads.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in cloud architecture, DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, observability, database technologies, and stakeholder management while providing technical leadership across global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Architect infrastructure solutions supporting enterprise platforms, AI/ML workloads, and data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks to ensure platform reliability and performance.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with security, privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs), and recommend innovative infrastructure solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategy with business and product objectives.
• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives and cloud transformation programs.
• Manage infrastructure-related projects and programs, ensuring successful delivery against timelines and budgets.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to DevOps and Infrastructure Engineering teams.
• Present infrastructure roadmaps, risks, recommendations, and technical strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Architect and manage scalable database platforms, including relational and NoSQL technologies.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, resilience, disaster recovery, and security practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or related areas.
• Minimum 3+ years in an Architect, Principal, Lead, or strategic technical leadership role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
• AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms
• Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and observability solutions
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure, machine learning platforms, and data engineering workloads.
• Expertise in designing and managing databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and cloud-native database services.
• Strong understanding of microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
• Proven experience leading infrastructure projects and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or similar cloud certifications.
• Experience with MLOps platforms and large-scale AI infrastructure environments.
• Experience building and operating SaaS platforms in multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, compliance, and disaster recovery best practices.
• Experience working within globally distributed teams.
• Exposure to highly regulated environments is advantageous.
