Job summary

Vantive Healthcare Technologies in Whitefield, Bangalore invites a Principal Engineer to lead RD and analytical activities for polymeric materials within global projects. You will drive cross-functional work and coordinate with teams across locations.

The ideal candidate has strong polymer science expertise, hands-on data analysis (FTIR, NMR, ICP-OES) and mechanical testing, plus experience with change control and project management for medical devices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead product RD and analytical activities for polymeric materials in global projects.

• Oversee mechanical design exposure of medical devices with polymers.
• Carry out root cause analyses with minimal supervision.
• Manage change controls using in-house quality systems.
• Develop and deliver materials testing and write verification/test reports.
• Present technical work to global project teams with organized flow.
• Leverage expertise and inputs from others to resolve critical issues.

Job Title - Principal Eng, Containers

Location - Whitefield, Bangalore

Shift - General

Job Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for leading product RD and analytical activities (VV) in order to execute global, cross-functional projects pertaining to polymeric materials
• Should have a good understanding of polymer science polymeric composites, be able to study their structure-property relationships and have an ability to understand chemical analysis data from methods such as, FTIR, NMR, ICP-OES etc., along with understanding of mechanical testing of materials, such as, tensile testing etc.
• Should have exposure to mechanical design of industrial components - medical devices or otherwise- with polymeric materials
• Should have the ability to carry out root cause analyses in case of product failures with little to no supervision
• Will be responsible for project management which includes managing change controls -using Vantive s in-house quality systems like TW8, TcU
• Responsible for development and delivery of materials and mechanical testing, writing of verification test protocols, test cases and reports
• The role would involve organization and presentation of technical work and deliverables to the global project team(s) in a well-planned manner with a clear logical flow
• Will be able to leverage own expertise as well as inputs from others to identify and resolve critical issues
• Will perform troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to material aspects of the products associated with field performance and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Masters degree 9+ years of relevant work experience or Bachelors degree 11+ years in Polymer Science/Engineering/Chemical Engineering

• Self-directed, resourceful, and able to work on multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and documentation skills.
• Very adept at grasping and solving complex problems using root-cause analysis techniques.
• Hands on experience in polymeric material s testing is an added advantage
• Ability to objectively identify technical solutions and make sound decisions.
