Job summary

Reichhold in India seeks a hands-on laboratory and technical specialist to run trials at customer sites and evaluate products per guidelines. You will address customer complaints, train customers on test methods, and assist in preparing technical documentation.

You will also participate in product development experiments, pilot plant inspections, and ensure lab safety and maintenance while coordinating with sales, operations, quality and purchasing teams. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of composite materials, especially thermoset polymers.
• Ability to interpret experimental data and prepare clear documentation.
• Willingness to travel and interact with multiple departments and customers.

Role & responsibilities

Activities with and for customers

• Conduct trials at customers place, execute evaluation of products as per guidelines
• Attending customer complaints,test & provide solution by walking through a series of actions to resolve it
• Training and demonstration to customers on our test methods, product performance
• To assist in preparation of Technical Documentation

Product development

• Performs experiments for the Application Laboratory, Sample preparation, Synthesis of resins lab & pilot
• Inspection of the process on pilot plant and quality of finished product, for new development
• Accountable for keeping the lab safe and organized with adequate maintenance of equipment

Preferred candidate profile

• Good Knowledge of Composite Materials, mainly thermoset: Polymer chemistry, Composite process technologies, material characterization and uses; Usage of relevant lab instruments, Computer operations i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint. SAP knowledge is a plus
• Skills Highly organized, ability to interact with different internal departments (sales, operation, quality, purchasing) and external customers - basic laboratory skills and preparation of clear and useful documentation interpretation of experimental data ability to analyses, collate, build a hypothesis or a conclusion from the findings and results - ability to coordinate work, effective questioning, decision making - ability to apply learning from diverse and previous situations/ experiments, provide clear direction - ability to work unsupervised - good command of Marathi, English, and Hindi (both written and spoken)
