Job summary

Valeo, a leading automotive supplier, seeks a Principal Discipline Engineer in Chennai to drive cybersecurity for embedded systems and ADAS initiatives. You will shape security architectures, coordinate reviews, and ensure UNECE WP29 R155 and ISO/SAE 21434 adherence across projects.

You will mentor teams, lead risk analyses, and coordinate with OEMs, Tier1s and production to embed security into product lifecycles at Valeo.

Qualifications

• Experience in Automotive embedded cybersecurity.
• Trained and Certified in Automotive cyber security is an added advantage.
• 10–13 years of relevant experience in Automotive, embedded cybersecurity.
• B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME in Electronics & Communications or Cybersecurity/Automotive engineering.

Responsibilities

• Ensure CSMS lifecycle per UNECE WP29 R155 and ISO/SAE 21434 compliance.
• Lead cybersecurity design across System/Hardware/Software/production.
• Elicit cybersecurity requirements with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Develop ADAS cybersecurity system/architecture requirements.
• Maintain cyber security development plan and track progress for project duration.
• Coordinate activities of CyberSecurity engineers across work packages.
• Plan internal cybersecurity reviews and formal reviews with assessors.
• Communicate between P1/P10 projects and other Valeo programs on security.
• Support full cybersecurity chain with OEM/Tier1/Supplier involvement.
• Specify requirements for products in development and production (security-related).
• Perform pre-review and design reviews for security work products.
• Handle cybersecurity manager activities for complex/advanced products.
• Participate in external/university collaborations.
• Provide cybersecurity trainings to teams.
• Develop innovative projects or PoCs (P3 projects).
• Contribute to Valeo Group CSMS policy maintenance, updates and audits.
