Job summary

Wood Chennai Office is seeking a Principal Designer in Electrical with extensive offshore FPSO project experience. The role requires leading multi-disciplinary teams, delivering FEED and EPC engineering deliverables, and coordinating across global sites.

Hybrid/remote work with regular travel is expected. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in electrical design, strong leadership, and a proven track record in offshore projects.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Design environment with lead role in project execution.
• Ability to lead large/medium teams in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering environment.
• Proven expertise in FEED and EPC Engineering execution.
• Experience in offshore projects is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Lead large/medium teams in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering environment.
• Provide design oversight and ensure delivery of electrical deliverables for offshore FPSO projects.
• Coordinate FEED/EPC engineering activities and ensure compliance with project standards.

Due to the nature of the projects the sites are spread across Global. Therefore, this role can be based at any of our Chennai offices on a hybrid / remote basis with the expectation of regular travel as required.
