Job summary

Ramboll in India, Gurgaon, invites a seasoned BIM professional to join as Principal Designer-BIM in our world-class design center. You will lead 2D/3D modelling for complex transport projects and coordinate with global teams to deliver optimized solutions.

You must be proficient in AutoCAD and Tekla, with Rhino/Grasshopper and Revit knowledge considered a plus. English communication and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI with 8–14 years' experience.
• Experience in bridge drawings and 2D/3D modelling is mandatory.
• Knowledge of steel and concrete detailing standards.
• Parametric 3D modelling using Rhino/Grasshopper required.
• Experience on international projects; Swedish experience is a plus.
• Strong English communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings and 3D models for bridges and metro projects.
• Ensure technical correctness and timely delivery of drawings and models.

Job Description

As our new Principal Designer-BIM, you will be part of a world class, innovation driven engineering design center owned by an independent
trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon.
Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence in design
by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Create, work on 2D drawings and 3D models for bridge, underground metro stations, port & marine projects, co-ordinate with other team members of the drafting/modelling team in accomplishing complex tasks.
• Is responsible for technical correctness and timely delivery of the drawings, 3D models and documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & Tekla is a must. Knowledge in Rhino/grasshopper, MicroStation and Revit is desirable.
• Hands on experience with bridge drawings, quantity estimation etc.
• Will coordinate with technical manager or concerned engineers for input of drafting work in each project.
• Conversance with Euro code, Swedish drawing standards will be an add-on.
• Exercises self-discipline and work ethic, respect and follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Trained Professional with 8-14 years of professional experience. Candidate with B.Tech. will have the edge over others.
• Experience in bridge work, preparing general arrangement, reinforcement drawings, and reinforcement detailing, 2D and 3D modelling is mandatory.
• Should have knowledge of steel and concrete detailing standards.
• Must have experience in parametric 3D modelling and automation using Rhino/Grasshopper
• Must have experience on international project, Swedish experience is an advantage. 3D reinforcement modelling skills will be an advantage.
• Self-motivated, team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines can be relied on to meet deadlines.
• Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role includes: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD & Tekla and good level of written and spoken English.
