Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, high‑quality fintech/payment products aligned to evolving business needs.
• Drive architectural standardization, harmonization of tools, and adoption of best practices across product lines.
• Lead end‑to‑end architecture discussions and act as the single point of contact for technology decisions.
• Define solution roadmaps and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Develop strategies to adopt and leverage emerging technologies and modernize the tech stack iteratively.
• Ensure scalability and performance through appropriate design patterns (e.g., microservices, Saga, Outbox).
• Lead API governance, define standards (Open API 3.1), and drive consistent adoption across products.
• Enable platform thinking by building reusable components to accelerate product development.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and DevSecOps principles across the development lifecycle.
• Oversee engineering quality through code reviews, development guidelines, and risk mitigation.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams while fostering technical excellence.
• Support sales pursuits by contributing to solution strategies, proposals, and RFPs.
• Engage with stakeholders to drive proactive problem-solving and ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Stay updated with technology trends, open‑source platforms, and industry best practices.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong expertise in Java (JDK 21+) / Golang and modern development frameworks (Spring Boot 3.x+).
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns (Saga, Outbox, choreography).
• Hands‑on experience with distributed systems, scalability patterns, and cloud‑native architecture.
• Experience with AWS services (EKS, MSK, RDS, ElastiCache, Network Firewall, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in databases: Oracle/PostgreSQL (OLTP), MongoDB (NoSQL).
• Experience with caching (Redis) and messaging systems (Kafka).
• Familiarity with logging/monitoring tools (EFK, ClickHouse, distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practices.
• Expertise in security practices within SDLC/SSDLC (SAST, DAST, SCA, OWASP Top 10).
• Ability to conduct detailed code reviews focusing on scalability, performance, and quality.
• Strong foundation in design patterns, data structures, and enterprise architecture principles.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in fintech or financial services domain.
• Exposure to performance optimization and large‑scale system tuning.
• Familiarity with open‑source ecosystems and modern development tools.
• Experience leveraging GenAI tools for development or code review.
