About the Role:

We are looking for a Solution Architect to design and guide scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions on BankOS, our next‑generation operating system powering real‑time payments, treasury, FX, and embedded banking experiences. The ideal candidate will collaborate with product, engineering, and banking partners to build modern cloud‑native architectures that simplify and accelerate innovation for financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of end‑to‑end solution architectures for large-scale, event‑driven, microservices‑based platforms.
• Define architecture blueprints, integration patterns, API strategies, and data flow models across complex systems.
• Architect systems with a strong focus on scalability, high availability, observability, security, and performance.
• Define integration patterns for APIs, microservices, event‑driven flows, and payment workflows.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to architectural best practices and standards.
• Translate business requirements into well‑defined technical designs and solution roadmaps.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure architecture alignment and implementation quality.
• Evaluate technology choices, patterns, security requirements, and scalability needs.
• Support customer solutioning for Finzly’s banking and fintech clients.
• Ensure best practices in cloud‑native architecture, performance, observability, and security.

Required Skills:

• 15+ years total experience in software engineering or architecture roles.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience as a Solution Architect.
• Strong experience designing microservices and cloud‑native solutions (AWS preferred).
• Hands‑on expertise with Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and event‑driven architecture.
• Experience with Event streaming platforms, relational & NoSQL databases, and caching solutions.
• Understanding performance engineering concepts, Throughput, latency, concurrency, GC, JVM tuning, DB optimization
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory constraints in fintech/banking.
• Ability to create clear architecture documentation and present solutions to stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Good To Have:

• Experience with banking core integrations or financial services platforms.
• Familiarity with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Open Telemetry).
• Understanding of payment systems and messaging (RTP, FedNow, Fedwire, ACH, ISO 20022).
• Understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, and DevOps practices.

Education:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
