Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework, with a strong focus on English language and literacy.
• Develop students' reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, creative writing, spelling, and oral communication skills.
• Integrate English language learning into transdisciplinary units of inquiry.
• Design interactive learning activities that encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and independent learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
• Develop formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, progress, and developmental needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student agency and wellbeing.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and overall development.
• Collaborate with grade-level colleagues and the PYP team on curriculum planning, assessment, and moderation.
• Integrate digital tools and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.
• Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards, and child protection procedures.
