Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking engineers to review tenders and model plants in a 3D environment, interfacing with ACC and BIM360. The role includes preparing grounding, lightning protection, and busbar layouts, plus civil input information such as foundations and conduits.

Responsibilities also cover steel drawings, material procurement, cross-discipline coordination, risk assessments, safety adherence, and interaction with customers and suppliers.

• Review Tender / Bidding Specification.
• Model plant in 3D environment interfacing with ACC / BIM360.
• Prepare and review FACTS Layout including yard, buildings, grounding, and lightning protection.
• Prepare and review Civil Input Information (Foundation, Conduit, Trench, etc.).
• Carry out calculations and layouts for grounding, lightning, busbar, ampacity, cantilever, and magnetic field calculations.
• Prepare and review detailed steel drawings for manufacturing/procurement/installation.
• Coordinate purchasing of steel, aluminum, connectors, and switchyard equipment.
• Coordinate project engineering across electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural disciplines.
• Plan, assess risks, and coordinate resources for project engineering activities.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate potential risks.
• Create work plans and cost estimates including scope, budget, and schedule.
• Interact with customers, project management, contractors, and supply chain.

• Coordinate Project Engineering on a range of engineering disciplines e.g. electrical, mechanical, civil, structural engineering.
• Project engineering activities such as planning, risk assessments; coordination of resources (personnel and equipment)
• Ensuring adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
• Creating work plans and cost estimates; scope, budget and schedule for assignments.
• Interact directly with customers, project management, contractors and supply chain.
