Job summary

Hyosung T&D India Pvt Ltd in Pune is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager-Primary Design to lead electrical substation design activities. You will review technical specs, prepare detailed drawings such as SLDs and bus layouts, and manage BOMs for complete substation projects.

The role requires 8–12 years of electrical engineering experience, a BE/BTech/ME/MTech in electrical engineering, and strong coordination with clients, vendors, and site teams.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering with relevant substation exposure.
• 8–12 years of experience in electrical design for substations.
• Experience reviewing technical specs and vendor drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications and drawings for AIS & GIS substation projects.
• Prepare and review SLDs, earthing layouts, lighting layouts, and bus systems.
• Prepare BOM for complete substation projects and verify vendor drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams for inputs and approvals.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC/IEEE standards and project specs.
• Perform CT sizing, LA sizing, earthing design, and assess Type Test Reports.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications, contract documents, and purchase order specifications for AIS & GIS Substation projects.
• Prepare and review basic and detailed engineering drawings, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Earthing Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Cable & Cable Tray Layouts, Bus Systems, and Section Drawings.
• Prepare and review detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for complete substation projects.
• Review construction BOM, detailed engineering drawings, site survey checklists, civil input drawings, erection key BOMs, and related design documents.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams for design inputs, technical clarifications, and drawing approvals.
• Prepare technical specifications for bought-out items such as Lightning Arresters, Instrument Transformers, Density Monitors, Cables, and other electrical equipment.
• Review vendor drawings, evaluate technical offers, and support vendor finalisation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant IEC/IEEE standards and project specifications.
• Perform CT sizing, Lightning Arrester sizing and selection, Earthing Design, and review Type Test Reports as per IEC standards.
• Expertise in Switchgear and other substation equipment.
• Experience in Earthing Design, CT Selection, LA Selection, and Vendor Drawing Review.
