Qualifications

  • Deliver high-quality HR operational support in accordance with service standards and SLAs.
  • Adopt a service delivery mindset to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Global Service Delivery teams to transition HR activities into shared services.
  • Perform local HR administrative activities not yet transitioned to GSD while aiming for standardisation.

Job Purpose

The HR Specialist is responsible for delivering efficient, compliant, and employee-focused HR operational services across the employee lifecycle. The role works closely with Global Service Delivery (GSD), HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence (COEs), managers, Payroll, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery, support continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance the employee experience.

Job Overview
Key Responsibilities

1. Service Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Deliver high-quality HR operational support in accordance with agreed service standards and SLAs.
  • Adopt a service delivery and continuous improvement mindset to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Global Service Delivery (GSD) teams to transition suitable HR administrative activities into the shared services model.
  • Perform local HR administrative activities that cannot currently be transitioned to GSD while working towards standardization and future transition.

2. People Services Operating Model

  • Adhere to the People Services operating model, ensuring activities are performed within the appropriate teams and governance framework.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently while identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve productivity.
  • Support the implementation of standardized HR processes and best practices.
  • Contribute ideas that improve operational efficiency and service quality.

3. Continuous Improvement & Proactive Problem Solving

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve HR processes and service delivery.
  • Escalate operational issues appropriately and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the HR function.

4. Employee Experience

  • Deliver a positive, responsive, and employee-centric HR service.
  • Handle employee queries professionally, accurately, and within agreed service levels.
  • Build trust through timely communication, confidentiality, and quality service.
  • Support initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.

5. Employer Brand & Culture

  • Champion the organizations employer brand, culture, and values.
  • Support local implementation of global HR initiatives while considering local business and cultural requirements.
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating behaviours aligned with company values.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build effective working relationships with HR Business Partners, Global Service Delivery, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Finance, managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure seamless HR service delivery.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders.

7. Employment Legislation & Compliance

  • Maintain a good understanding of applicable local labour laws, employment legislation, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Apply employment legislation and company policies accurately in day-to-day HR operations.
  • Demonstrate a continuous learning mindset by keeping up to date with legislative and policy changes.
  • Escalate complex compliance matters where appropriate.

8. Root Cause Analysis & Quality Improvement

  • Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodology to investigate operational issues and service failures.
  • Identify underlying causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support implementation of sustainable improvements to minimize recurring issues.
  • Monitor outcomes and contribute to ongoing quality improvements.
