Job summary

Hempel A/S in Mumbai seeks an Associate pricing analyst to drive market pricing analysis, manage price changes, and support profitability through data-driven decisions.

You will collaborate with sales and internal teams, develop dashboards, and leverage Excel and Power BI to translate data into actionable insights, enabling strategic pricing actions globally.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance or Business.
• University / Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management.
• Price performance/Sales performance/Revenue reporting.
• Dashboard creation and maintenance.
• Profit-volume analysis (profitability analysis).
• Good business sense, proficient in written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Drive pricing analysis by market to understand pricing dynamics.
• Analyze price change requests from sales by evaluating contribution and price impact.
• Take pricing actions to enhance profitability and closing deals.
• Capture pricing intelligence about the competition and potential pricing actions.
• Identify revenue and margin optimization opportunities.
• Own performance of assigned markets in terms of revenue and price performance.
• Implement and roll out the new pricing strategy in your area.

• Drive pricing analysis by market to understand pricing dynamics: price effectiveness, competitors’ movements, price increases, customer and industry trends.
• Analyze price change requests from the sales team by evaluating contribution and price impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels
• Take pricing actions to enhance profitability and closing deals
• Capture pricing intelligence about the competition and potential competitive pricing actions
• Identify potential quick wins, revenue and margin optimization opportunities
• Own performance of assigned markets/segment in terms of revenue, contribution and price performance across product groups

What Are We Looking For?

• An educational background in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance or Business.
• University / Bachelor’s degree or above
• Proven experience in stakeholder management
• Price performance/Sales performance/Revenue reporting
• Dashboard creation and maintenance
• Profit-volume analysis (profitability analysis)
• Good business sense, proficient in written and oral English. Should be able to create business-case scenario.
• Super user in MS office and especially Excel.
• PowerBi report creation, Power apps knowledge.
• Data interpretation i.e. processing large amounts of data and deriving insights out of it.
