Job summary

Crest Container Lines is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join the Commercial team in Gurgaon/Mumbai. This role focuses on pricing strategies, ocean carrier management, and commercial analytics within global freight forwarding.

The analyst will support negotiations, analyze market trends, and generate MIS reports and pricing proposals for bids and tenders, collaborating with Sales, Commercial, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Fresh graduates with strong analytical aptitude or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Formulas, Data Analysis).
• High attention to detail with the ability to interpret and analyze large volumes of data.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support Ocean Carrier Management by coordinating with shipping lines for freight rates and commercial negotiations.
• Assist in ocean carrier negotiations to obtain competitive pricing and service offerings.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain market intelligence and competitor information to support pricing decisions.
• Prepare and generate MIS reports, pricing analysis, and commercial dashboards using Microsoft Excel.
• Participate in customer Bids, RFQs, and RFPs by preparing competitive pricing proposals.
• Maintain carrier tariffs, pricing databases, and commercial records with high accuracy.
• Monitor freight market trends and recommend competitive pricing strategies.
• Work closely with Sales, Commercial, and Operations teams to deliver timely pricing solutions.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of pricing-related activities.

Eligibility Criteria

• Fresh graduates with strong analytical aptitude or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Formulas, Data Analysis).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade will be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of German or French will be an added advantage.
