Job summary

Tata Elxsi is seeking an accomplished software engineering leader to define and drive engineering practice strategy for Healthcare and Life Sciences. With 20+ years in software delivery and 8+ years leading large teams, you will shape technology roadmaps across Cloud, Embedded, Medical Device Software, AI/ML, and DevSecOps.

You’ll foster global collaboration, governance, quality standards, and strategic partnerships to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in software engineering and delivery leadership.
• 8+ years leading engineering practices or large delivery teams.
• Strong track record in Healthcare, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Digital Health, or Life Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the software engineering practice strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Build differentiated capabilities across Healthcare, MedTech, Digital Health, Payviders, and Life Sciences.
• Drive technology roadmaps, innovation initiatives, competency development, and investments.
• Establish capabilities in Cloud Platforms, Embedded Software, Medical Device Software, Mobile & Web Apps, Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, and DevSecOps.
• Develop reusable frameworks, accelerators, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Lead talent transformation through competency frameworks, career development, upskilling, certifications, and leadership mentoring.
• Drive recruitment and build future technical leadership pipelines.
• Lead innovation programs, technology evaluations, and strategic partnerships.
• Establish engineering governance, quality standards, and delivery excellence practices.
• Support sales and business development through solutioning and customer engagements.
