Job summary

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited in Pune is seeking a senior Production Planning and Control leader to drive demand forecasting, scheduling, capacity planning and inventory management across multiple product lines.

The role demands 15+ years in PPC/ manufacturing planning, strong techno-commercial skills, ERP (SAP) familiarity, and proven leadership to mentor cross-functional teams while delivering OTIF targets and cost optimizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• 15+ years of PPC, manufacturing planning, or operations experience.
• Experience in Automotive / Auto components / manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on in multiple parts/SKUs, production scheduling, and inventory control.
• Strong ERP knowledge; SAP preferred.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Production Planning & Control to ensure timely customer deliveries.

• Drive demand forecasting, production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Develop and execute techno-commercial strategies to optimize cost, delivery, and operational efficiency.
• Manage multi-part planning across diverse product lines and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to balance demand and supply.
• Monitor production KPIs, inventory levels, OTIF, and working capital targets.
• Support new product launches and business growth initiatives through effective planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes and supply chain efficiency.
• Lead and mentor PPC teams while collaborating with cross-functional leadership.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in PPC, Manufacturing Planning, or Operations.
• Proven experience in Automotive / Auto Components / Manufacturing Industry.
• Strong exposure to Techno-Commercial functions, customer management, and supplier coordination.
• Hands-on experience in handling multiple parts/SKUs, production scheduling, and inventory control is mandatory .
• Good understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
