Job summary

UST is seeking a Firmware Validation / Test Content Developer to build and maintain validation content for embedded systems, with emphasis on power and thermal features. You will validate power states, transitions and thermals, while using Python for automation and reporting.

You will collaborate across firmware, hardware, and validation teams to debug issues and improve product quality in a pre-/post-silicon environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in firmware validation and post-silicon validation.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python scripting.
• Exposure to power/thermal features and related firmware flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain firmware validation test content focused on power and thermal features.
• Validate power states, transitions, thermal controls, throttling, and firmware flows.
• Write and execute Python scripts to automate test execution and reporting.
• Debug failures, analyze logs, and perform root-cause analysis across firmware and hardware layers.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and validation teams to fix defects.
• Design test scenarios (positive, negative, stress, corner-case) to enhance coverage.
• Support platform validation in embedded environments, pre-/post-silicon when required.
• Report results and contribute to product quality improvements.

UST is looking for Firmware Validation / Test Content Developer

• Develop and maintain firmware validation test content, with a strong focus on power and thermal features.
• Hands-on experience in validating power states, power transitions, thermal controls, throttling, and related firmware flows.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, along with working knowledge of Python scripting.
• Design positive, negative, stress, and corner-case test scenarios to improve feature coverage.
• Debug failures, analyze logs, and perform root-cause analysis across firmware and hardware layers.
• Automate test execution, result analysis, and reporting using Python.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and validation teams to resolve defects and improve product quality.
• Experience in embedded systems, platform validation, or pre-/post-silicon environments is preferred.
