Role Overview

We are looking for experienced System Validation Engineers to support client's bare-metal platform validation initiatives. The engineers will be responsible for validating system‑level functionality across Security, Multimedia, Power, CPU, and Operating Systems, ensuring platform stability, performance, and compliance with specifications.

The ideal candidates should possess strong technical knowledge of platform specifications, test development and modification, defect triage, and debugging. This role requires engineers who can independently analyse failures, identify root causes, and deliver high‑quality validation outcomes in a fast‑paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • System‑Level Validation: Execute system validation on bare‑metal platforms across Security, Multimedia, Power Management, CPU, and OS domains.
  • Specification Analysis: Understand platform specifications, identify differences between hardware or software revisions, and assess their impact on validation coverage.
  • Test Development and Modification: Adapt existing test cases and validation procedures to accommodate specification changes, new features, and platform requirements.
  • Test Execution and Reporting: Execute validation suites, analyze results, document failures, and maintain accurate test reports.
  • Defect Triage and Debugging: Investigate test failures, perform root‑cause analysis, isolate issues, and collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to resolve defects.
  • Platform Bring‑Up and Validation: Support bare‑metal platform bring‑up and system‑level validation activities across relevant hardware and software configurations.
  • Quality and Coverage: Identify gaps in test coverage, improve validation methodologies, and ensure robust testing across platform features.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, firmware, software, and system engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve platform quality.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of system‑level validation on bare‑metal platforms.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate requirements into validation scenarios.
  • Hands‑on experience in modifying existing test cases based on specification changes.
  • Strong debugging, failure analysis, and defect‑triage capabilities.
  • Understanding of CPU architecture, power management, security, multimedia, and OS‑related validation concepts.
  • Experience with hardware/software interaction and platform‑level testing.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ / Python scripting for test development, automation, or debugging, where applicable.
  • Familiarity with validation tools, debug logs, test automation frameworks, and defect‑tracking systems.
Experience And Qualifications
  • 6 to 9 years of relevant experience in system validation, platform validation, firmware validation, or embedded systems testing.
  • Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on technical issues and deliver validation results.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms or comparable SoC platforms.
  • Exposure to pre‑silicon or post‑silicon validation environments.
  • Experience in bare‑metal programming, firmware testing, board bring‑up, or low‑level system debugging.
  • Knowledge of ARM architecture, boot flows, hardware registers, interrupts, and memory subsystems.
