Job summary

Siemens Energy India in Bengaluru seeks a Power Electronics-Design Specialist to develop DC/DC converters and DC/AC inverters through the product lifecycle. • Specify engineering requirements and support test plans and reports.
• Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using Orcad & Cadence Allegro.
• Define board architecture, stack-up, and routing strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Validate board performance through lab testing and oscilloscope/logic analyzer debugging.
• Hands-on bring-up and performance characterization of hardware and energy system hardware.

About your role and impact:

As a Power Electronics- Design Specialist for Electrification division,

Location: Electronic city, Bangalore

• Develop new products- DC/DC Converters & DC/AC Inverters and variants through the product lifecycle
• Specify engineering requirements and support creating test plans and generate test reports
• Perform schematic capture, component selection and layout using tools like Orcad & Cadence Allegro and support on PCBs design
• Work with cross-functional teams to define board architecture, stack-up, and routing strategies
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance
• Validate board performance through lab testing, debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• Hands-on bring up and performance characterization of hardware circuits, PCBs and energy system hardware (relays, power meters, power converters, communications devices, etc)
