Job Description

Power BI Architects are experts in data modeling and analysis, responsible for developing high‑quality datasets and visually stunning reports. They design and develop data models that effectively support business requirements, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data presented in dashboards and reports. Projects range from short‑term client engagements to multi‑year delivery engagements with large, blended teams.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of full‑time experience with Power BI Desktop, extensive knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power View.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and DAX custom calculations.
• Good knowledge of M language and VertiPaq Analyzer.
• Strong understanding of data‑modeling concepts and ability to create effective models for reporting needs.
• Experience performing data ETL processes to ensure clean, accurate datasets.
• Ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, deliver solutions and bridge technical and non‑technical gaps.
• Quickly propose solutions by applying latest best practices from MVP, product team articles, Microsoft documentation, whitepapers, and community publications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills.
• Familiarity with the Azure data platform (ADLS, SQL Server, ADF, Databricks, etc.).
• Technical skill mix:

• Power BI Desktop, Power BI Dataflows, Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, VertiPaq Analyzer.
• T‑SQL, DAX, M, PowerShell.
• Power BI Service architecture design and administration.
• Business requirement understanding, data model design, and visualization development for actionable insights.
• VertiPaq and Mash‑Up engine knowledge.
• Data modeling using the Kimball methodology.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication.
• Educational qualification: BE/MCA or any graduate degree.
