Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced BI/Analytics professional to design and deliver enterprise Power BI solutions and data architectures. The role requires leadership in BI projects, collaboration with stakeholders, and hands-on optimization of data models and dashboards.

Ideal candidates have extensive Power BI expertise, strong SQL skills, and experience with Databricks and cloud analytics platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in BI, Analytics, Data Engineering, or SQL-based development.
• 5+ years designing and developing enterprise Power BI solutions.
• 3+ years leading BI/Data projects, mentoring developers, and driving best practices.
• Advanced Power BI with semantic models, RLS, deployment pipelines, and enterprise reporting architecture.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform and automation solutions.
• Expert SQL skills including design, query optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling; Databricks/cloud analytics experience.
• Strong dimensional modeling, star schema design, data governance, reporting best practices.
• Advanced Excel/Access/VBA/macros; translating requirements into scalable solutions.
• Proven ability to lead solution design reviews and establish development standards.
• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.

Job description

8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Engineering, or SQL-based application development.

5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise-scale Power BI solutions.

3+ years of experience leading BI/Data projects, mentoring developers, and driving technical best practices.

Advanced experience with Power BI, including semantic models, Row-Level Security (RLS), deployment pipelines, and enterprise reporting architecture.

Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) and automation solutions.

Expert-level SQL skills including database design, query optimization, performance tuning, stored procedures, and data modeling. Experience with Databricks, modern data platforms, and cloud-based analytics solutions.

Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schema design, data governance, and reporting best practices.

Advanced experience with Excel, Access, VBA/macros, and complex business logic development. Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Proven ability to lead solution design reviews, establish development standards, and guide junior developers.

Associate's Degree required;

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.
