Job summary

Gantec Corporation in Chennai is seeking an experienced Power BI Consultant to support a cloud data-platform migration and ongoing reporting operations. The role combines hands-on Power BI development, production support, performance optimization, and stakeholder engagement.

You will develop dashboards, data models, and DAX measures while optimizing data flows and security across Snowflake and other cloud platforms. Collaboration with data engineering and business teams is essential.

Qualifications

• At least five years of business intelligence or analytics experience.
• At least three years of hands-on Power BI development and production support.
• Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and semantic data modelling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data platform.
• Experience with refresh schedules, gateways, workspaces, permissions, and row-level security.
• Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and performance issues across reporting and data layers.
• Experience supporting a migration, go-live, or production stabilization period.
• Proven ability to gather requirements directly from business stakeholders.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and ownership skills.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to both business and technical audiences.
• Preferred: Power BI Premium, Microsoft Fabric, DirectQuery, incremental refresh, pipelines, version control, and ITIL-based incident/change management.

Certification Requirements
