Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technology Operations / Business Operations leader to join the Chief AI Office Technology function.

The role will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of the technology service line, including workforce planning, financial management, vendor management, portfolio/program management, governance, risk management and senior stakeholder engagement.

This is a non-technical AI role. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing technology/business operations, budgets, resources, vendors and portfolios in a complex global organization.

Key Responsibilities

Workforce Strategy & Management

• Develop and maintain long-term workforce plans aligned with business and financial strategy.
• Manage workforce lifecycle activities including hiring, outsourcing, insourcing, contractor management, retention and talent development.
• Partner with HR/People teams and senior stakeholders on workforce strategy.
• Manage headcount plans and associated costs.
• Develop business cases for workforce optimization, contractor replacement and future-state workforce requirements.

Financial Management

• Manage budgets, financial plans and overall service-line expenditure.
• Drive cost optimization and identify opportunities for efficiency.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial forecasts.
• Track actuals, accruals and financial benefits.
• Prepare clear MIS and financial reports for senior leadership.

Vendor / Third-Party Management

• Manage vendor engagement from initiation through contract execution and post-contract management.
• Partner with Procurement and business stakeholders on vendor selection and commercial negotiations.
• Support business cases, funding approvals and contract structuring.
• Monitor vendor performance, financials, workforce requirements and associated risks.
• Manage purchase orders, invoicing, forecasting and third-party governance activities.

Portfolio & Program Management

• Manage and oversee the technology change portfolio.
• Track project/program milestones, deliverables, budgets and financial benefits.
• Provide portfolio MIS and management reporting.
• Identify delivery risks and drive timely escalation and resolution.
• Ensure clear accountability across project and delivery teams.
• Drive consistent PMO practices and governance across portfolios.

Governance & Stakeholder Management

• Represent the service line in governance forums.
• Prepare senior management presentations, papers and updates.
• Track governance actions and ensure timely closure.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Finance, Procurement, People, Risk, Compliance and Transformation.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Technology Operations / Business Operations / PMO / Portfolio Management.
• Experience managing financial and resource plans.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
• Experience in vendor / third-party management and commercial activities.
• Experience managing complex projects, programs or transformation portfolios.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience working in a global / matrix organization.
• Strong understanding of operational risk and governance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
