Job Description – Project Management Office (PMO) ManagerRole Purpose

The PMO Manager is responsible for driving governance, planning, execution oversight, and delivery excellence across strategic business and technology initiatives. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational priorities through effective stakeholder management, reporting, risk governance, and process standardization.


Key Responsibilities

Project Governance & Delivery


  • Establish and drive PMO governance frameworks, project methodologies, and best practices.

  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource utilization.

  • Ensure successful execution of strategic programs across business and technology teams.

  • Track project dependencies and drive timely resolution of risks and issues.


Portfolio & Program Management


  • Manage the organization's project portfolio and prioritize initiatives aligned to business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain project roadmaps, dashboards, and executive reports.

  • Monitor project health through KPIs, status reviews, and governance forums.


Stakeholder Management


  • Partner with business leaders, product, engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.

  • Facilitate steering committee meetings and leadership reviews.

  • Drive decision-making by providing actionable insights and project updates.


Planning & Resource Management


  • Support project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capacity planning.

  • Track resource allocation and optimize utilization across projects.


Risk & Compliance


  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, and drive mitigation plans.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational governance standards, audit requirements, and project documentation.


Process Improvement


  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency.

  • Standardize project templates, reporting mechanisms, and governance processes.

  • Champion Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate.


Skills & Competencies


  • Strong project and program management capabilities.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Experience in project governance, risk management, and reporting.

  • Proficiency in MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or a related discipline.

  • MBA or PMP/PRINCE2/Agile Scrum certification preferred.

  • 8–12 years of experience in PMO, Program Management, Project Management, or Delivery Management, preferably in technology, fintech, or digital organizations.
