Job summary

Saahas Zero Waste in India is seeking a results-driven professional to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to promote Zero Waste Operations awareness and champion ZWP across diverse stakeholders, including clients and corporate partners.

The role focuses on resource management, process improvement, supplier and logistics coordination, and ensuring compliance with the Integrated Management System, with a hands-on approach to audits and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience in solid waste management preferred.
• Ability to manage budgets and vendor networks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance of team (Resource management).
• Build capacity of team (Resource management).
• Document SOPs for operations.
• Ensure compliance to processes.
• Fulfil requirements of Integrated Management System for the department.
• Audit H&S and ensure compliance at vendor and recycler locations.
• Quality check of vendor and recycler documents.
• Build partnerships to improve grassroots level collection systems and establish vendor network.
• Trade credits to fulfill operational orders.
• Plan and maintain weekly/monthly dispatch planner.
• Identify and enroll new logistics partners.
• Set monthly budgets as per the AOP.
• Monitor data accuracy in the internal app database and the TRACER blockchain-based traceability platform.
• Coordinate with end destination for optimal rates and quantity.
• Oversee outflow of plastic waste to end destination and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain P&L related to sourcing and allocation of quantity as per the operational plan.
• Reconcile dispatch data and approve client/end destination invoices.
• Maintain data accuracy on ZOHO Books.
• Set payment terms with vendors and ensure collections from end destinations.

Job Responsibilities

Resource management

• R1. Monitor the performance of team

Audits

Requirements

Work experience in solid waste management preferred.
