Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller International Private Limited (BW Design Group) in Chennai is seeking a Revit Plumbing Designer with strong experience in industrial and facility projects to support multidisciplinary engineering teams.

You will develop plumbing and drainage designs, BIM models, and coordination for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotech, and manufacturing facilities, with emphasis on Revit MEP and AutoCAD workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in plumbing design for industrial/building projects.
• Strong experience in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems (domestic water, drainage, venting) and industrial facility requirements.
• Familiarity with codes and standards (IPC, UPC, local codes).
• Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection (Navisworks preferred).
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Revit MEP models for plumbing systems.
• Design and prepare layouts for: Domestic water systems (cold & hot water), Sanitary and wastewater systems, Stormwater drainage systems, Industrial/process drainage systems.
• Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and isometrics.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Perform routing, sizing support, and clash detection using BIM tools.
• Assist in equipment selection (pumps, tanks, fixtures, etc.).
• Support specifications and design documentation.
• Participate in design coordination and review meetings.
