Required Skill Set
- 8+ years of total experience in PLM systems, with significant hands‑on experience in Windchill and Teamcenter environments.
- Proven track record of leading data migration or system transformation projects in a PLM context.
- Strong understanding of ETL methodologies, SQL scripting, data mapping, and validation frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with Windchill data extraction, WBM, IPS, IPEM, CSV to TCXML conversion, and Teamcenter data loading.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with PLM integrations to ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) is highly preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own the migration strategy from Windchill to Teamcenter, including detailed planning, execution, monitoring, and validation.
- Lead cross‑functional teams including data analysts, developers, PLM architects, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth and accurate data migration.
- Define and enforce data governance standards, mapping rules, and quality benchmarks for all migration activities.
- Oversee ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading.
- Manage risk and change, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing engineering, design, and manufacturing operations during migration.
- Deep understanding of Windchill data structures, configurations, and customizations.
- Execute Windchill data extraction using tools such as WBM, IPS, and IPEM to prepare structured datasets for migration.
- Perform data conversions including CSV to TCXML and manage data load activities into Teamcenter.
- Design and implement data migration strategies, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Develop scripts, tools, or use middleware to facilitate data transfer between Windchill and Teamcenter.
- Collaborate with PLM architects, business analysts, and engineering teams to ensure data integrity, completeness, and compliance.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation to ensure high‑quality migration.
- Document migration processes, mapping rules, data dictionaries, and exception handling procedures.
- Support system testing, user acceptance, and post‑migration audits to validate data accuracy and functionality.
- Provide training and technical support to end‑users and internal teams during and after the migration phase.
- Experience with PLM integrations to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is an added advantage.
