Qualifications

• Basic programming/scripting for data parsing and automation (Python/C/C++/Node.js).
• Understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL basics).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Associate IIoT Engineer role based in Ahmedabad.

The Associate IIoT Engineer will assist in designing, configuring, and deploying Industrial IoT solutions on customer shop floors, including connecting machines, sensors, and controllers to EroNkan platforms.

They will support installation and commissioning of edge devices and gateways, perform basic PLC/industrial protocol integration, and validate data flows for real-time monitoring and analytics.

The role includes troubleshooting connectivity and system issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure stable and secure IIoT deployments, and documenting configurations, test cases, and implementation details.

The Associate IIoT Engineer will also collaborate with senior engineers to optimize system performance, support customer training and handover, and contribute feedback for continuous product and solution improvement.

Qualifications

Solid understanding of Industrial IoT concepts, including connectivity between machines, sensors, PLCs, and cloud/on-premise platforms.

Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP) and basic experience with PLC/SCADA or similar automation systems.

Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, firewalls, VPNs, switches/routers) and device connectivity (edge gateways, data loggers).

Foundational skills in any programming or scripting language (such as Python, C/C++, or Node.js) for data parsing, integration, and basic automation.

Understanding of databases and data handling concepts (SQL/NoSQL basics, time-series data, API-based data exchange).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve field issues methodically.

Good written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
